Respectful, personal ceremonies that reflect individual beliefs and values

Every life is different — and so is every farewell. Whether you’d like a traditional religious service, a secular celebration, or something in between, we’re here to help create a funeral that truly reflects the person who has died.

What are religious and non-religious funerals?

A religious funeral follows the traditions of a particular faith, such as Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish or Buddhist ceremonies. It may involve readings from scripture, prayers, hymns, and rituals led by a faith leader.

A non-religious funeral — sometimes called a humanist or secular funeral — focuses instead on the life of the person, their values, and their relationships, without religious content. It might include readings, music, eulogies and quiet reflection, led by a celebrant or family member.

Some funerals combine elements of both, depending on the person’s wishes.

What’s included in the service?

We’ll help you arrange every aspect of the funeral, including:

  • Choice of burial or cremation
  • Arranging a faith leader, celebrant, or family-led service
  • Planning the order of service and ceremony content
  • Music, readings, and personal touches
  • Venue arrangements — church, chapel, crematorium, or other location
  • Transport, coffin, floral tributes, and optional printed orders of service

Our role is to make the day meaningful and as stress-free as possible — so you can focus on honouring your loved one.

We’ll provide a full breakdown of costs and help you understand all options available — with no pressure, and no hidden extras.

Types of funerals we can arrange

We’re proud to support all faiths, cultures and beliefs. Whether you’d like a fully traditional religious service or a unique, personal celebration, we’ll guide you with care and experience.

  • Christian Funerals
We regularly arrange funerals in line with Christian traditions, including Church of England, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Evangelical and other denominations. Services may take place in a church, chapel or crematorium and often include hymns, readings and prayers led by a minister.
  • Muslim Funerals
We understand the importance of swift, respectful arrangements and ritual practices such as ghusl (washing), kafan (shrouding), and Janazah prayers. We’ll coordinate with the mosque and burial ground in accordance with Islamic customs.
  • Hindu Funerals
From the preparation of the body to the cremation ceremony and post-cremation rituals, we work closely with families and local temples to ensure all aspects are handled with dignity and respect for tradition.
  • Sikh Funerals
We help facilitate respectful Sikh funeral rites, including the recitation of prayers, transportation to the Gurdwara and crematorium, and support with langar and remembrance gatherings.
  • Jewish Funerals
Whether Orthodox or Reform, we support Jewish families with arrangements such as tahara (ritual washing), shomer (watching), and liaising with local synagogues and burial societies.
  • Humanist and Secular Funerals
For families who prefer no religious content, we arrange non-religious services focused on the life, relationships and values of the person who has died. These are often led by a humanist celebrant or a friend or family member.
  • Family-Led Ceremonies
Some families wish to conduct the ceremony themselves — speaking, sharing music, or simply gathering in quiet reflection. We can support you with structure, logistics and any help you may need.
  • Blended Ceremonies
Many funerals today combine religious and non-religious elements — for example, a reading from scripture alongside personal tributes and secular music. We’ll help you strike the right balance.

Personal Touches – Make it Your Own

Whatever the style of the service, we’ll help you add thoughtful details that reflect the life being remembered. These could include:

  • A favourite piece of music or poem
  • Personal readings by friends or family
  • Photo displays or video tributes
  • Symbolic gestures (candle lighting, flower placing, etc.)
  • A memory book or keepsake for guests

No detail is too small when it comes to creating a meaningful farewell.

Yes. Many people today choose a blended ceremony — for example, a prayer followed by personal tributes and music. We’ll help you create something that feels right.

No — we can help you find a trusted person to lead the ceremony, or work with someone you already know.

Services can be held at a place of worship, a crematorium chapel, at our funeral home, or even at home or outdoors — depending on your preferences and religious requirements.

That’s absolutely fine. We also offer direct cremation and quiet, unattended farewells.

Yes. We’ll help you include whatever feels meaningful — religious or not.
