Burials With Nature
We have over 20 years experience in arranging green funerals and can provide you with the all the necessary guidance.
Green funerals focus on preserving the environment, local wildlife and any archeological interests at the funeral site. In addition, coffins can be made of easily biodegradable materials such as recycled wood, bamboo, wicker or cardboard, or an alternative shroud may replace the coffin altogether. The difference between a woodland and a nature reserve burial site is very simple.
At a woodland site relatives may plant a tree as a memorial to their loved ones, though headstones and other memorial plaques are almost always prohibited. At a nature reserve burial site small wooden biodegradable plaques may be used to mark the grave and flowers befitting the local environment planted on the grave.
